So a new blog for O’Reilly.ie which is owned by me Alan O’Reilly, the domain name obviously reflects my name – a good Irish surname 🙂
So what will I be blogging about about, ummm weather, technology and lots of other bits and pieces including the odd Political rant.
Graphical flare isn’t my strong point so the clean and bare look isn’t really by design but we can work on that.
Where do my interests come from:
Weather:
Well that has been an interest of mine for a long time, mainly due to my interest in Snow and the difficulty in forecasting it on this Island. I own a personal weather station which updates www.carlowweather.com every 60 seconds from its location in Tullow, Co. Carlow. The site is a member of Irelands Weather Network www.IrelandsWeather.com
Technology:
Well since my first computer some 17 odd years ago I’ve always had an interest in technology and luckily I manged to turn that interest into a Career, I’ve been working in I.T. for over almost 10 years now starting off with helpdesk support in Sunlife/Clarica in Waterford and then moving to PC Services in Intel Ireland before moving to Globalnet Solutions in Nass before joining my current employer Blacknight Solutions who is an Irish based ICANN accredited domain registrar and hosting company offering comprehensive range of domains & hosting to business worldwide.
The Rest:
The rest of my interests are far ranging from Golf, Soccer to Politics.
